The Skills audit is an integral part of your Pathway orientation. A skills audit, or skills gap analysis, is a reflective tool for identifying strengths and areas for development in your current working practice.
You have a choice of two different audits:
- Teacher’s Audit, based on the DfE Teachers’ Standards
- Leadership Skills Audit, which comprises many different skills and competencies for leadership.
Both invite you to rate your current skills levels in each of the different categories.
You can access the Skills audit from the Orientation welcome page. Scroll down to the Skills audit banner and select Start section.
From the Skills audit page scroll down and use the buttons to select either Teaching skills audit or Leadership skills audit.
Complete each of the sections. There are 8 for the teacher audit and 14 for the leadership audit.
At the end of each set of questions, select Continue to move to the next.
Once you complete your Skills audit, you're responses are automatically saved and you can return to it any time as you continue to develop.
