To ensure that the students feel engaged with the Discovery Education platform, we have included features that enable the student to personalise the way the platform looks when they log in, and the content that they are shown.

To access these features, the student should open the Profile Panel by clicking on the icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.  

Select View Profile

The student will then be shown 4 options.


Details: This page will list the child's name, their school and the year that they are in.  These details are not editable and if there are any errors, these should be brought up with their teacher.

Avatar:  The child is invited to select an avatar to replace the generic profile icon on their account.

Theme: This is where the child can choose the background for their account's homepage

Interests: The child can now select topics that interest them.  This will help dictate the content that is suggested to the child when they are exploring the platform.
