Coding Lessons can be organised, shared, and assigned just like other Discovery Education resource.
To the right of every Coding lesson, a Studio menu can be seen.
The menu viewed by a teacher is slightly different to that seen by the student.
Assign: This allows you to assign the lesson directly to a class, group of pupils, or single student and track progress in Assignment Manager. When Coding lessons are assigned to students, they will see a Mark as Complete button to click when finished with the lesson. Learn more about assigning content.
Build an Activity: This enables you to include the lesson images and text in a slideshow so you present the lesson to your students
Share: This allows you to share the lesson with students or colleagues through a link or by adding it to your Shared Learning Platform (like Google Classroom, Schoology, Canvas or Microsoft Teams). Learn more about sharing content.
Add to QuickList: Click the Add to Quicklist to add the lesson to your QuickList. Learn more about QuickList.
Add to My Content: Click this to add the lesson to My Content. Learn more about My Content.
Print: This will open a print preview screen.
Copy link: Quickly grab a URL to share or place in emails or other places for quick access for students.
By clicking on Lesson Plan at the base of the title screen, you will find a comprehensive lesson plan, with suggestions for activities, and discussion points allowing students to talk about their coding using the correct terminology.
