Some teachers and schools may have previously been issued with shared log in details for the Discovery Education platform. This is no longer the case.
Teachers should be issued with their own, individual accounts for use on the Discovery Education platform.
There are many reasons why this is beneficial:
- Assigning and Tracking Activities - Individual logins allow teachers to efficiently assign activities to specific students or classes. This personalisation ensures that learning materials are tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Data Collection and Analysis - Individual logins enable teachers to collect data from assigned activities. This data can be then used to track student progress, identify areas of improvement, and make informed instructional decisions based on real-time insights.
- Monitoring Platform Usage - Schools can better understand how teachers utilise the platform with individual logins. This information allows administrators or Discovery Education Success Advisors to provide additional support to teachers or schools who may need assistance.
- Customisation of Resources - Teachers can edit pre-made resources to suit their specific teaching styles and address the needs of their students. Individual allow teachers to adapt content, ensuring that instructional materials align with the curriculum and the learning objectives of their own classes.
- Adaptive Learning Opportunities - Adaptive learning is facilitated by allowing teachers to assign different activities to different students. This ensures that each student receives content that aligns with their current skill level, promoting personalised and effective learning experiences.
- Collaboration with Colleagues - Subject leads can easily share resources with other teachers within the school by sharing to School Content.
