If your school already has a Wonde account, the process of creating accounts can begin straight away.

The first step will be for Wonde to add Discovery Education to your school's Wonde App Dashboard and for the school's Wonde account holder (or Admin) to Approve Access for Discovery Education.

The school will then be sent a confirmation that access has been approved.

Wonde will complete an initial review of the school's data and once this has finished, Wonde will release the data to Discovery Education.

The data requested is then transferred to Discovery Education where accounts will be created, classes organised (if requested) and licenses applied.

If your school intends to use Microsoft or Google single-sign-ons (SSOs) to access Discovery Education accounts, these details will also be transferred.

Your school will then be sent confirmation from Discovery Education that the integration has been completed and the team overseeing the set-up of you new accounts will pass your school account across to one of our School Success Advisors, for the rest of your Discovery Education journey.

Depending on when access in Wonde is approved by your school, accounts can be created and ready to go within 48 hours.

What information does the Wonde integration take from our school records?

Different data fields are transferred depending on the account being created:

Teacher Accounts
Data required:
- First name
- Last name
- Work email address (this will become the teacher's username for the Discovery Education platform)

Pupil Accounts
Data required:
- First Name
- Last Name
- School email address (this is only required if your school will be using Microsoft or Google SSO)
- Year/grade
The pupil username will use the first initial and the last name (JSmith).  If that username already exists, a number will be added after the last name (JSmith24)

Classes and Class Registers
(These can be set up during the Wonde integration or can be organised manually when the school has access to the Discovery Education platform)
Data required:
- Class name
- Class ID
- Teacher ID (these will be Wonde generated so as to create unique references)
- Student ID (these will be Wonde generated so as to create unique references)
