Discovery Education Studio is a creative tool where both teachers and students can gather resources, create lessons or presentations and collaborate on projects.

Studio offers teachers and students alike the ability to create Boards or Slideshows or to edit existing Activity templates.

The resulting projects can be shared with any teacher or pupil in the school, making them great for collaborative activities.
Studio can be accessed and worked on from any device and photos can be uploaded from that device directly to the project - perfect for homework tasks!

For teachers, projects can be shared amongst colleagues and are easily editable to support differentiation for different groups of students.  The Activity Templates speed up lesson planning, saving valuable time.

Accessing Studio

As a Teacher, Studio is opened through the left-hand Global Nav menu

To start using the templates or to create a new Board or Slideshow, click on Create New and choose the format for your new project.

Activity Templates - we have numerous templates all with teacher notes to explain the SOS Instructional Strategy of the template.  Images and resources can be simply added to the template making it quick and easy to create activities to consolidate learning. (Using Activity Templates)

Board - this will create a multi-page project where pages can be as long as they want and includes an infinite scroll bar. (Creating and Editing Projects in Studio)

Slideshow - this creates a multi-slide project where slides are a fixed size and are designed for presentations. (Creating and Editing Projects in Studio)

As a student, the Studio tool is also accessed through the Global Nav menu on the left-hand side of the screen.

Students will only have the option to create a Board or a Slideshow but functionality is the same as for teachers.
