Yes, Time for Phonics is a fully DfE validated phonics programme.

2. Where can I find training for teachers? 

We cover an overview of the teacher training for teachers that is included within the programme here. To access this on the platform head to Teacher Training.

3. Do you have any support resources for parents?

4. Is Time for Phonics included with my subscription? 

Are you an existing Espresso customer? If yes, then Time for Phonics comes included with your subscription and you will have access to this from September 2024. If you're a new customer, contact one of our Education Consultants and we will be happy to help.

5. How does Time for Phonics align with decodable texts?

Included in the programme are a series of decodable texts that can be used alongside or during daily lessons, these can be found within the Supporting Resources section of each phase. 

6. Does Time for Phonics offer guided reading sessions?

Yes, we have now added guided reading resources, including teacher training resources. These can be found within the Supporting Resources section of each phase.

7. Does Time for Phonics have assessment materials?

Yes, we have comprehensive assessment materials including phonics screening check preparation materials.

8. Does Time for Phonics have phonics intervention sessions?

Yes, we have a complete phonics intervention programme, complete with guidance. Head to Resources and scroll down to Intervention and Assessment. 

9. Is there a structured intervention programme for KS2? Yes, we have a specific programme for KS2 working on a variety of phonics skills.

10. Do you have handwriting resources?

Yes. Writing is taught through a series of studio board resources and teaching plans that support the teaching of lower case and capital letters correctly. Letter formation is an integral part of the programme and is visited each session. The font and style of all resources are in keeping with the 2021 & 2023 reading framework

11. Can Time for Phonics be used alongside other schemes?

The 2021 Reading framework recommended fidelity to one scheme to avoid confusion.

12. Does Time for Phonics take into account guidance from the 2021 Reading Framework?

Yes, our lessons and resources reflect the guidance.

13. Can I speak to another school who are using Time for Phonics?
