Yes! Our platform will support Google or Microsoft SSOs!
If your school intends to use Microsoft or Google single-sign-ons (SSOs) to access Discovery Education accounts, you will need to let us know so we can make the necessary arrangements. You can do this by speaking to your Discovery Education Sales Consultant, or by emailing schoolsupport@discoveryed.com
In order for Discovery Education accounts to be linked to Google or Microsoft SSO, all teachers AND students must have Google or Microsoft O365 SSO accounts and must use Google or Microsoft O365 SSO in school.
In order to use SSO, the emails linked to the students' SSO accounts must be entered into the school's management information system.
If the data is not entered as listed below, it will not be possible for the the accounts to be created.
Teachers accounts
For teacher accounts, the following fields must be populated in the school's MIS.
- First name
- Last name
- Work email address (Same as the Google or Microsoft O365 account)
The teacher work email address will be used to generate the teacher usernames
Pupil accounts
For student account, the following fields must be populated in your MIS.
- First name
- Last name
- School email address (Same as the Google or Microsoft O365 account)
If you are using Wonde to transfer the data, these fields will included in the integration.
If you are manually creating the accounts, it is essential that the SSO emails are entered into the data template which are then uploaded to the platform.

Once you have added the correct email addresses to your MIS (or manually), please email the support team on schoolsupport@discoveryed.com, who will make the necessary changes at our end.
Once the accounts are created, you can use our dedicated buttons to log in with the appropriate SSO.
