STEM Connect provides you with detailed teacher guidance meaning teachers can 'pick up and go' whatever their level of familiarity with the topics being covered.

On opening STEM Connect, you can choose the level of content through the dropdown menu on the left-hand side.

There are four units available in each level and you can access Planning documents from each level.

Teachers have access to comprehensive curriculum notes for each topic, stating how the activity links to the English National Curriculum and the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence.

In this section you will also find a materials and equipment list for easy lesson planning, and an overview of which topics are included in each level of STEM Connect.

In the STEM Connect Contents document, you will also see the UN Goals for Sustainable Development linked to each topic.

Each unit is divided into 4 learning paths - Introduction, Challenge, Design and Solve

For the Challenge, Design and Solve activities of each topic, you will find a tab for Teacher notes and another for Resources and Activities.


The Resources and activities page includes videos, factfiles and printable worksheets - ensuring that all the elements required for a successful lesson are available in one place.



Throughout the topic, the teacher notes give details of the lesson structure to follow, suggestions for further discussion, extension activities and helpful tips and advice to make running STEM sessions as simple as possible.
