Within STEM Connect we have included some useful extra tools to ensure all the students have access to all the resources they need whilst following the lessons.

In the bottom right-hand corner of the lesson screens for STEM Connect, both teachers and students will be able to see some icons which will open the tools and features.

By clicking on the book icon, a glossary will open allowing students to find definitions of certain words and terms

Click on the ellipsis/three dot More icon to open a menu offering further tools and actions.

Glossary: another route to the Glossary tool

My Notebook: the students can make their own notes on the resources they have been given using this tool.  The Notebook opens in a new window which will give students an area to create their own notes with pre-populated titles and headings.  The notes can be edited, deleted and printed out as the student wishes.

Actions:  This section enables the student to share (send a link) the resource with somebody else, to add the resource to their Quicklist for easy retrieval and to add to the resource to My Content.

Print Options:  The user then has the options to print the current page, the tab or the whole concept.

Tools:  Links to a calculator, unit converter and whiteboard tool are also all provided for swift and easy access.

Teacher View

Within this Tools and Actions area, teachers are given a few more options.

They have the option to assign the resources to student account for homework or monitored class work.
Teachers can also Create with Studio which will open the Studio tool and allow you to edit and adapt the lesson to fit with your own purposes.
