Whether you are a School Admin or a Teacher, organising your classrooms is easy through our Dashboards.
As a Teacher
In order to remove a student account from your classroom, open the Classrooms area from the left-hand navigation bar.
Select the appropriate classroom tile and click on the ellipsis/triple dot icon on the right-hand side. Choose Manage this class.
You will then be shown a screen where all the details about your class can be seen. Choose the Pupils tab.
In the list of pupils, find the appropriate student account and click on the ellipsis/three-dot icon at the end of that row.
This will open a drop-down menu where you can select Remove from Classroom.
Please note that this action will not delete the student's account, but will remove the account from this class. It is only possible to archive the student's account from the School Admin account.
As a School Admin
If you are a School Admin, a student can also be removed from a classroom from the Admin Dashboard.
Open the Admin Dashboard from the navigation menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
Then select your school's classrooms by clicking on the number next to Classrooms in the general details.
Locate the appropriate class from the school's class list and click on the name to open and view the students enrolled in that class.
To remove a student from that class, simply click Unenroll.
This action will remove the student account from this particular class, but the student's account will still be included in the school's Discovery Education register.
If a student leaves the school and no longer needs to have a Discovery Education account, the School Admin should archive that account.
In order to do this, open the Admin Dashboard from the navigation menu on the left-hand side of the screen, and then select Manage School on the right-hand side of the screen.
From the actions offered in the Manage School menu, choose Archive Users.
You can then search for the user's account, and filter depending on user type.
Check the box next to the user's account and then click on Archive Users at the bottom of the screen.
If you have a large number of user accounts to archive, (eg, year 6 leavers), follow the advice in this article.
