1. Logging in to Discovery Education
Navigate to https://app.discoveryeducation.co.uk/learn/signin and sign in using your username and password, SSO or QR code (for students).
Discovery Education Espresso combines real-world content with tools and resources that encourage student engagement and build teacher capacity and confidence.
2. Access to Espresso
Your Discovery Education homepage is where you’ll find access to all of your Discovery Education subscriptions. To access Espresso from the homepage, click on the Espresso tile:
As part of your Espresso subscription, you can also access Time for Phonics, our DfE validated activity-based phonics programme covering Phases 1-5. It follows the Letters and Sounds progression and can be accessed from the homepage or within Espresso itself.
3. Espresso Homepage
At the top of the Espresso homepage, you will be able to navigate directly to our Key Stage specific content by clicking on the Key Stage tiles in the right-hand corner.
The content is then arranged by subject area.

4. Areas within Espresso
From within Espresso and the Key Stage sections, you can also access different areas of curriculum resources that span a range of subjects:
The Sesame Learning channel is designed to enhance your instruction and interactions with pupils, covering emergent literacy and English language, arts, mathematics, PSED, holidays and special occasions and more!
Within this area, you will find immersive apps and interactive activities to amplify teaching and learning across the curriculum.

Each week, in collaboration with our partners at ITN Productions, we release timely and engaging news content specifically tailored to primary schools. - Calendar Picks for EYFS, KS1 & KS2
Calendar Picks is a bank of resources which allows you to plan ahead to the events and themes coming up over the school year.
The resources featured in Curriculum Collections are offered to provide activities and topics that go beyond the regular syllabus, allowing you to go that extra step in providing a well-rounded learning experience.
5. Search for Resources
Search to locate pre-made lessons, ramped-up worksheets, videos, images, songs, sound effects, interactive games, audio files, animations, clip art, and more!
Search using a keyword term, a topic, or subject. When results are displayed, you can narrow your results by filtering for year group or resource type to make it even easier to find what you’re looking for.
6. Save your favourite resources
Once you’ve found a resource you love, you can easily save it as a favourite or to ‘My Content’.

7. Discovery Education Classroom Tools
In addition to the extensive content and resources available in Espresso, you also have access to the suite of Discovery Education classroom tools and features.
Click on the main Global Nav menu on the left-hand side of the screen and you will be able to manage your classroom accounts, set assignments, create your own lesson boards and presentations, browse teaching support strategies or set quizzes.
8. Make use of the Instructional Strategies templates within Studio
Included in both Studio and our Teacher Support resources are our research-based strategies for integrating Discovery Education digital curriculum resources in meaningful, effective, and practical ways.
Once you open Studio from the Global Navigation menu, click the ‘Create New’ button, and select ‘Activity templates’.
